Brush used a 26-point second quarter to defeat Normandy, 48-0, on Friday night at Korb Field.
After a scoreless eight minutes to begin the game the Arcs got on the scoreboard with a little trickery, when Diallo Johnson took a direct snap on a punt and connected with Teondre Reynolds on a 62 yard pass to put the Arcs up 7-0.
The Arcs would go on to extend their lead at halftime to 33-0 with two touchdown runs by Darryl McCluney and one by Christian Wright. Jordan Overton also added an exciting 66 yard punt return.
The Arcs would score again in the third quarter when sophomore quarterback Thomas Loya found Overton for 48 yard touchdown reception.
Sophomore Brandon Adams capped the scoring on the night for the Arcs with a 35 yard run.
Brush has outscored the Invaders the previous five seasons, 177-20. The Arcs have won all five games.
The Arcs improved to 2-6 on the season and 1-2 in the Northeast Ohio Conference. Normandy dropped to 0-8.
Brush will host Cuyahoga Falls next Friday (10/24) at 7pm. It will be senior night for fall athletes.
